Sanctity of Life

Yesterday was Sanctity of Life Sunday. It has never bothered me as much as it did this year.

Starting with this statistic:

More than 95% of abortions are for reasons of convenience.

...what? Convenience? Thousands of people are longing for a baby and babies are taken because it is an inconvenience?

So sad. For those wondering about the trivial aspect of when life begins, consider this:

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
   you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   your works are wonderful,
   I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
   when I was made in the secret place,
   when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
   all the days ordained for me were written in your book
   before one of them came to be.

Life is sacred at any age: embryo, baby, toddler, child, teenager, parent, grandparent.

I choose LIFE.

  1. I taught that lesson in my Sunday school class, Sunday. Very eye opening.
