Our Oklahoma trip went great! We didn't have that long of a wait (from our original appointment time- we got there an hour early). The nurse called us back and got basic information and medical history. The nurse took her time asking questions and listening to our concerns. Dr. K asked us to come into his office to go over our medical records. He asked several questions, and he came to this conclusion: "It's not IF, but WHEN and HOW you get pregnant."
WAHOO! Finally, some good news. I am also realistic in that his job is to get us pregnant and it might not necessarily be from my eggs or from our embryos. But I am still hopeful. He is going to do an ovarian reserve test to check the quality of my eggs before we go on with further treatment. He said if those numbers come back in the normal range, then we are all set to start IVF again and there should be no reason why we shouldn't get good embryos.
I go back in about a week and a half for the ovarian reserve test. Erin is going with me. (Again I am so thankful for friends and family that take the time to travel with me when Kyle is at work so I don't have to go alone.) Then we both go back June 5 for the IVF class where we tour the clinic and meet everyone on staff.
I can breathe a sigh of relief...I told Kyle I was happy with our visit and asked his thoughts. He said, "I'm glad we came...it's about time we get a break."
...and on a side note- he is so sweet. He sent my best friend a gift today and told her he was thankful for her and glad she and I were friends because it makes me happy. :) He'd kill me if he knew I was posting this...
Oh Alana that is some good news. I have been thinking about y'all and glad the trip went good. Will continue thinking of y'all and especially during your next travels. Keep positive and remember, God has a plan and everything happens for a reason:)
