It's only the 7th and I feel like we've been in March forever. This time of year at school is INSANE. Preschool transitions, annual reviews, new goal planning, screening referrals, it just never ends! I'm ready for this week to be over and thankful that Spring Break is near. On the other hand, I am very thankful for my job and I do love it very much!
There are a few fundraisers coming up that I am making canvases to auction off. I'm doing the canvas of the hog profile. One of the fundraisers is a bone marrow drive for Leslie Harris. I don't know her, but she is in her 20's and found out shortly after (or before...I can't remember exactly) she had her baby that she has leukemia. The drive is to find a bone marrow match by swabbing your spit! I hope it does well and pray for this family.
The other one is for the employees of the local CDI. The childcare facility has had some financial issues, and the employees haven't been paid in weeks. The community has done a fundraiser, raising over $4,000 and now they are doing another one. I have to say that is one great thing about living in a small community is that everyone pulls together for you when you need it. Hopefully my small donation can help just a little.
Well, it looks like I will be going to the doctor Friday. I called today but it was after hours so they should call me back in the morning with the time and date for sure. We have decided to try IVF once more with the ICSI, since our insurance said I have only used $2000. I'm not sure how accurate that is but I'm going to run with it! Mom said to get it in writing, so I'm going to call tomorrow and have them fax me that amount in case something is said later.
Does anyone know how much it would be to put in a storm shelter? After last year when I was scared to death and Kyle thought it was funny (and then we figured out half of our barn was gone and the dog pen was moved over about 30 ft and it wasn't so funny to him anymore!), I want to look into getting one. Right now our project is to redo our shower. We got a beige colored tile for it and we plan to take the fiberglass shower out. We also want to put a shower light in the top. All of that is bought and ready to go, we just need to call the people to come start. So after we finish this project I want to look into the storm shelter thing. Unless we get some news that tornados are on the way! I guess I need to get my priorities straight...
