Taking a Break

If you've been reading, then you know that now's about the time if I find out if the last IUI worked. This whole week I have been SICK. Coughing, sinus drainage, fever, all that jazz. Monday, I took a test and it was negative so I stopped my medicine (usually I start a day or two after this). Tuesday, I stayed home from work trying to rid myself of the coughing and manly voice. It didn't work. I went back to work for a little while Wednesday, hoping to not get the kids sick. We went over to Kyle's parent's for dinner and my fever went back up. So, Thursday I made a trip to the clinic. I have an ear infection and sinus infection. Contrary to what it sounds like, I don't have bronchitis. So I'm on antibiotic. I asked the doctor to make it a baby-friendly medicine just in case. Then, as I was treating a kid yesterday afternoon, the dreaded cramps started. So I called in to the clinic to schedule an ultrasound.

This morning was my appointment, at 11. Charity went with me and we ate and shopped for Father's day. My regular doctor was not there and my least favorite one was there. So I had a bad attitude going into the appointment (plus it not working again just didn't make for a good day). The doctor said I have a cyst. This is because of the clomid I was taking. That's why they do the ultrasounds each time I go in, to check for any cysts from the medicine. This is the first time I've had one though. He just said, "Yeah, there's a pretty big cyst there...just call when you start your next period and we'll go from there." ...ok....and as he was walking out the door he said, "sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but you can still try on your own." ...and he closes the door. Grrrr.

So, that's what we'll do. What we've been doing for 2 1/2 years already.
